Why Paris is hard for a group of 5

Most Paris hotel rooms are built for two, and occupancy limits are set by fire regulations rather than by how many people can physically fit. Once you are five, the practical options narrow quickly to aparthotels and a small number of two-bedroom units.

Worth knowing: none of the 2 properties here that publish a bed layout gives all 5 travellers a fixed bed. The standard large-family unit in this market is two bedrooms holding four fixed places, with the fifth coming from a sofa bed.
